What is Best In Class?
From Deemer Class
Founder of First Class Lacrosse
Best In Class is our vision of a valuable use of a high school recruits time and energy. It’s a 2 day training and recruiting event aimed to maximize both of those objectives. It’s our first event that ties in a recruiting and evaluative component into the core player development sessions that FCL was built on.
There are many tournaments, showcases, and team events to choose from with many great options that provide significant value in different ways. We are weaving the core principles we believe in, and our method of training, to help players see the value in development in order to make an impact at the school’s they desire to play for.

Best In Class
Our team will review applications, consider recommendations from club, HS and local coaches, and perform their own evaluations in order to select top candidates every BIC event.
With partnerships with Goaliesmith Lacrosse and the Face Off Academy, the Best in Class staff has one common theme: they all have continued to progress throughout every stage of their career. Not only do they believe in the principles of hard work, coach-ability and growth mindset, but they have practiced these principles with great success. They know how to process feedback, analyze techniques and ultimately maximize success.
The Best in Class coaching staff has walked in the same shoes as our players and will be able to connect beyond the field and the X’s and O’s. Each of them represent the cornerstone of FCL, proving that hard-work and effort is as important off the field as on the field, and a well-rounded student-athlete will be a well-rounded and successful member of their community.
Best in Class brings together individual technique drills, small sided drills, live repetitions, situational environments, half field and full field scenarios, and in-game coaching points. The ultimate goal of this design is to help our players develop, be seen, and be accurately evaluated by college coaches by developing and performing the skillsets that are necessary for their success in college lacrosse.
The Best in Class format has been designed to give players the unique opportunity to train and learn in an environment that will push them to be open minded, expand their games and become better lacrosse players. Through this training, coaches will have a unique chance to see players respond to feedback, make improvements and demonstrate other intangibles that might not always come out in pure gameplay. Our hope is that it will showcase those players that are drawn to improvement and hard work – the players with the highest trajectory to excel in their 4 years of collegiate lacrosse.

"Best In Class was a premier event of the summer for me. I was able to learn from some of the best minds in the game at my position and compete against the top club players in the country in front of a ton of college coaches. Getting quality film in from our scrimmage games in my recruiting year made it an incredibly valuable and awesome experience." - Michael F.
"Our son was a 2 year BIC participant. The training and recruiting advice was excellent! On his recruiting visits in September multiple coaches mentioned the Best In Class event. It was clear that the college coaching community has a lot of respect for Deemer and his programs. I have no doubt his participation in these events helped to make his D1 commitment a reality." - Lauren M.
"When comparing it to other high level events, it is the best organized, coached, structured event attended thus far. This event is worth every penny spent." - Cory M.
