The Class of 2030 is entering high school. Best In Class is a kick off for this group. Learning how to play with pace, space on the field, and hone in on key lacrosse concepts is a focus. This group of standouts shows promise, but we know there is more work to do. Let’s see who stood out in this group of rising stars!

Good decisions seemed to follow every time Harvey had the ball in her stick. She attacked with confidence, played with outstanding IQ, and consistently made the right read whether creating for herself or her teammates. An accurate shooter with a quick release, she also showcased her versatility by contributing in the draw circle throughout the event.

Valenti seemed to dominate the draw circle on Day 1 of Best in Class. She consistently won possessions, controlled the offense with confidence, and paired smart decision-making with the ability to beat defenders one-on-one. Her composure, leadership, and effectiveness in the two-man game made her one of the event's standout attackers.

Versatility defined Bruce's offensive game throughout the event. She was equally effective attacking off the dodge or finding soft spots away from the ball, using her quickness and strong shooting ability to capitalize on scoring opportunities. Her ability to impact the game from multiple areas of the offensive end made her a constant threat.

A dangerous lefty shooter, Addison consistently found ways to make defenses pay. Her quick sidearm release, ability to find soft spots off the ball, and natural finishing ability made her a constant scoring threat throughout the event. She showcased polished off-ball movement and a knack for putting herself in dangerous scoring positions, as evidenced by this goal below where fellow standout Taylor Harvey found her on a cut.

Power was the foundation of O'Day's offensive game. She attacked defenders with confidence and strength to create separation and then displayed finishing ability with a heavy shot. Her physical style and crafty approach with the ball made her a difficult matchup to defend throughout the event and as she continues to develop, has the potential to be a force in the high school ranks.

Cook made the left side of the field her own. The Minnesota native consistently played with her eyes up and showed outstanding field awareness, recognizing and attacking open space before it developed. Her willingness to make aggressive, yet calculated, plays kept defenders on their heels and made her a catalyst for her team's offense.

Tierney consistently made the right play with the ball in her stick, showing great instincts on when to attack her matchup versus when to feed an open teammate. When opportunities to score presented themselves, she finished with confidence and placed the ball exceptionally well around the cage. Her relentless effort on the ride create extra possessions for her squad.

Pensy did a little bit of everything throughout the event. She consistently won draws, created offense with her vision, and battled for 50/50 balls between the restraining lines. Whether dodging to draw help or moving without the ball, she created space for herself and her teammates offensively. Her aggressive on-ball defense and relentless motor gave her an impact in every phase of the game.

Getting downhill when dodging came naturally for Ko. She routinely created separation with her shifty dodges, attacked the cage with confidence, and finished with a swift, powerful shot. She also brought that same competitiveness to the defensive end, creating turnovers and impacting the game beyond the stat sheet.

Once Vaughan got out in space, watch out. The speedy midfielder was a constant threat in transition and made her presence felt in the re-defend. Offensively, she used her shifty dodges and slickness to create separation and attack the cage. Defensively, her aggressive on-ball play helped her create extra possessions, while her success in the draw circle consistently gave her team the ball to start possessions.

Standing out on both ends of the field, Boney showcased the complete package as a two-way midfielder. She controlled draws, defended with toughness, and consistently found space off the ball to finish scoring opportunities. Her speed, and gritty style of play made her a difficult matchup for her opponents as well as raising the level of her own squad.

Baras displayed outstanding decision-making in each of her games, consistently making the right play out of the midfield. Her ability to attack with either hand helped her win matchups and create opportunities in transition. Around the cage, she showcased the ability to finish from difficult angles. Her fearless pursuit of ground balls and knack for forcing turnovers added another dimension to her game that was fun to watch.

Giachetti attacked confidently off the dodge, played with great pace between the restraining lines, and never stopped competing. She consistently created separation in 1v1 situations, using her speed and confidence to beat defenders and get downhill. Away from the ball, she timed her cuts well, read the defense effectively, and continually put herself in dangerous positions to impact the offense. The Ward Melville product was all over the field.

On the defensive end, she played with the perfect balance of creating disruption while staying disciplined, using timely checks to force turnovers.

Her versatility out of the midfield made her a player who could influence the game in a variety of ways.

With her instincts and athleticism, becoming more involved in the clearing game will allow her to impact the game in even more ways.

A relentless one-on-one defender, Anzalone's footwork and compete level consistently stood out. She hustled after every loose ball, made great slide decisions, and came up with several caused turnovers. Anzalone also pushed transition whenever the opportunity presented itself. Her relentless motor and ability to make plays made her a key piece of one of the strongest defensive units at the event for Team 1.

McGinniss is an explosive defender who plays with an aggressive, gritty style on the defensive end. As she continues to build confidence in her non-dominant hand, McGinniss has all the tools to become an elite defender.

Every team needs a smart, athletic defender who impacts the game well beyond the defensive end, which is exactly what Chornoma provided. She consistently won matchups, made timely back checks, and showed the confidence to defend out on the perimeter. Chornoma proved to be a reliable clearing option, using excellent stick protection to push the ball herself and spark transition. She also made an impact as a circle player. Her well-rounded game makes her a defender capable of influencing possessions all over the field.

Her disciplined approach and defensive technique make her a reliable presence on the defensive end.

Her sound technique and decision-making make her a dependable presence in the cage.

Woodbridge may be smaller in stature, but she came up big with multiple game-changing saves throughout the event. She was a brick wall in the cage, coming up with save after save even when facing odd-man situations and high-quality scoring chances. Woodbridge's quickness and compete level allow her to make plays that keep her team in games, making her one of the most exciting goalies to watch.
