Women's Best in Class 2029 Standouts

This Best In Class group made their mark. The 2029 class is one year away from their big recruiting summer and they showed up ready to play. We saw a great group of returning talent from their rising freshman year, and some new athletes bursting onto the scene. Let's take a look at which 2029's impressed the Best In Class staff this go round:

Schardt's draw ability immediately changes the course of a game, tipping possessions in her team's favor with her size and skill. Offensively, she uses her athleticism, strength, and stick skills to create advantages while also making momentum-changing plays in the middle of the field. The staff also loved how she re-defended and competed on the ride. Schardt has the tools to be a gamechanger at the next level.

With elite stick skills and the ability to dodge, feed, and shoot confidently with either hand, Webb is a dynamic offensive player who consistently makes the right decisions with the ball. She keeps her head up throughout every dodge, constantly scanning the field to create the best scoring opportunity for both herself and her teammates. She excels behind the cage, where she quarterbacks the offense with poise and creates high-quality opportunities.

She's a versatile dodger from low and high and makes high-level reads when the ball is in her cross. Coaches noted her impact in the ride while being disciplined in not fouling. She plays with confidence, competes hard in every phase, and has the vision to create scoring chances for both herself and her teammates.

Explosive with the ball in her stick, Massa constantly put defenders on their heels as a slick dodger. She attacks from multiple areas of the field, changes direction effortlessly, and has the creativity to score from a variety of angles. She consistently found the back of the net as well as a way to be a positive presence on the field.

Crisafulli is one of the most explosive athletes in the 2029 class, using her speed and change of direction to consistently create separation from defenders. She attacks with confidence, finishes efficiently around the cage, and is a constant threat both in settled offense and in transition. She has the burst to be a "party starting" dodger and facilitate offense, something recruiters will hold in high regard if she keeps on her trajectory.

One of the most polished offensive players in attendance, Clegg was consistently making the right play with the ball in her stick. Whether attacking from the elbow or finding space around the crease, she showcased outstanding stick skills, quickness, and an advanced feel for the game. Clegg was particularly efficient curling around the cage to her left hand for multiple scores.

Outstanding feel for the game allowed Oakes to consistently put defenders in difficult positions. She showcased a lethal re-dodge that, combined with her explosive bounce and change of speed, created separation and helped her attack through pressure with finesse. Her offensive instincts and playmaking ability stood out more with every game she played.

It shows up on the field as well, as she used her speed and explosiveness to impact the game all over the field. She attacks the cage with confidence, finishes at a high rate, and consistently creates turnovers with her defensive instincts and effort. Her combination of athleticism, draw ability, and transition play makes her a true two-way midfielder with tremendous upside.

A true two-way midfielder, Ennis-Chinn regularly impacted the game with her speed, intelligence, and relentless motor. She excelled in transition, attacked open lanes with confidence, and complemented her offensive production with aggressive, high-level defensive play. Her unselfish style and ability to influence every phase of the game made her one of the event's top midfielders.

Possession after possession, Brawley found ways to impact the game beyond the stat sheet. Her physical presence and relentless effort made her standout amidst a very talented midfield group.

From the draw circle, to the middle of the field, to the offensive end, Gallagher was everywhere. She created extra possessions by winning draws on the whistle and battling for 50/50 balls around the circle and offensively, paired outstanding vision with polished stick work, making the right decision whether feeding a teammate or finishing a scoring opportunity herself. She stood out with her relentless competitiveness between the restraining lines and ability to impact every facet of the game.

Time and time again, Diorio won possessions between the restraining lines, using her relentless motor and outstanding lacrosse IQ to come up with ground balls and ignite transition. She defended with confidence, stayed engaged on every play, and made excellent decisions in early offense, helping her team capitalize before the defense could get set. Diorio was a true sparkplug in the middle of the field.

Aschenbach showcased the versatility every coach looks for in a midfielder at Best in Class. She won tough ground balls, defended with intensity, and sparked transition by turning defensive stops into offensive opportunities. Her steady play and willingness to take on any role as a midfielder was notable.

Offensively, Kraus proved to be a strong dodger and initiator, creating opportunities for herself and her teammates.

She had a knack of winning possessions herself or directing the ball into space where her teammates could get it. She showed the ability to be a party starter on offense with her dodging and was a constant presence between the 30s. As she continues to refine her one-on-one defensive footwork, she has the tools to become an even more complete two-way player.

Like Celiberti, Hamilton elevated her team with her draw play. Beyond that, she displayed high IQ on offense, recognizing when to re-dodge or roll away from pressure to keep the offense flowing. She paired that with a relentless motor, making hustle plays and helping spark transition throughout the event. As she continues to develop her off-ball movement, Hamilton has the potential to be a game-changing threat.

Her ability to impact every facet of the defensive end made her one of the most complete defenders at the event.

Her combination of awareness, leadership, and athleticism makes her a defender every coach wants on the field.

A true punt returner, Williams routinely handled clears herself and helped ignite transition. As she continues to grow as a vocal leader, she has all the tools to anchor a high-level defense.

She consistently did the little things well defensively and excelled in the clearing game. Cherry also stood out for her coachability, quickly implementing feedback throughout the event.

Turning defense into offense was Bracewell's superpower throughout the event. Her anticipation, active stick, and ability to jump passing lanes consistently created extra possessions, while her composed on-ball defense and ability to stay in front of her matchup made her a difficult player to beat. Bracewell was able to generate interceptions that fueled transition opportunities, while her speed and confidence carrying the ball made her a constant threat in the open field.

Rock solid in the cage throughout both drills and live play, Spellman showcased saving-ability with excellent rebound control. She communicated well with her defense and showed strong footwork, particularly as the ball moved pipe to pipe. Spellman also made several impressive off-stick hip saves and handled one-on-one breakaway opportunities with confidence to come up with a few robberies.

Cohen was a steady presence in the cage, making the saves she should have while also stealing a few throughout the event. She executes the hands-high, feet-low technique exceptionally well on inside shots, allowing her to cover more of the cage while maintaining excellent body control. Cohen's technical foundation and ability to stay composed in high-quality scoring opportunities made her one of the top goalies at the event.

Baker is a quick, technically sound goalie whose positioning consistently puts her in the right place to make saves. Baker paired positioning with quick reaction speed, making several impressive point-blank saves.
