2024 PLL Round 2 Mock Draft: Outlaws Rebuild Offensively, Three Defenders Taken

2024 PLL Round 2 Mock Draft: Outlaws Rebuild Offensively, Three Defenders Taken

These mock drafts are a more of what I think each team should do rather than an insider 'prediction' of what team will do. Stay tuned for Rounds 3-4 soon! Without further ado...

#9: Denver Outlaws - Matt Brandau (Attack - Yale)

Denver continues to overhaul it’s offense by taking another starting attackman, and it’s a good one in the ultra-versatile Brandau out of Yale who is putting on a Tewaaraton-winnning type season.

#10: New York Atlas - Kenny Brower (Defense - Duke)

Tucker Durkin retired this off-season. Insert Brower, a rugged lefty who’s played in a ton of big time games in his career.

#11: Denver Outlaws - Graham Bundy Jr. (Midfield - Georgetown)

Bundy is one of the many two-point range shooters coming out of the draft, and he might be the hardest shooting one. O’Neill, Brandau, and now Bundy is not a bad way to rebuild an offense that was historically bad last season.

#12: Carolina Chaos - Jacob Piseno (LSM - Albany)

While I think Head Coach Andy Towers could target Piseno in the 1st round, he would be thrilled to land him in the 2nd round in this mock draft. The offensive-minded LSM is also more than capable of playing close defense as well.

#13: California Redwoods - Beau Pederson (SSDM - Michigan)

The top ‘true’ SSDM comes off the board in Pederson, a lock down on-ball defender that has shades of Danny Logan in his game.

#14: Boston Cannons - Mason Woodward (D/LSM - Marquette)

Woodward would be a nice pickup for the Cannons here. An absolute vacuum off the ground, Woodward can play down low or at LSM and will be a Day 1 starter.

#15: Philadelphia Waterdogs - TJ Malone (Attack - Penn State)

One of my favorite players in this draft, Malone can do it all offensively. He can dodge with both hands, feed, and is ultra-intelligent off-ball. I predict his role to be a swiss army knife coming out of the box, a skillset the Waterdogs could use with primary downhill midfield dodger on the roster.

#16: Utah Archers - Garrett Degnon (Attack/Midfield - Johns Hopkins)

The hard shooting lefty has gained a ton of momentum as the draft inches closer. Like Malone, Degnon has played both attack and midfield and can play multiple roles offensively. He just flat out scores the ball and should pair nicely with Tom Schreiber, Ryan Ambler, and others out of the midfield.
